Jeremy Buckmaster Selected as Vice Chair of the Citizens' Law Enforcement Advisory Board

Our firm is proud to announce the most recent accomplishment achieved by Attorney Jeremy Buckmaster. Mr. Buckmaster was selected by the City of Ormond Beach to serve as the Vice Chair of the Citizens' Law Enforcement Advisory Board. This position will allow Mr. Buckmaster to use his knowledge and experience for the betterment of the community.

What is the Citizens' Law Enforcement Advisory Board?

The Board serves as a consultant to the city's police chief and is responsible for reviewing all citizen allegations against the Police Department when force was used. If police involvement led to death or serious physical injury, the Board steps in to evaluate the circumstances.

The Police Department relies heavily on the Board for its involvement in the assessment of important directives. These directives are about discipline, equal employment opportunities, and sexual harassment. Because members of the Board are carefully selected, the police chief can trust the input received from this organization.

The Citizens' Law Enforcement Advisory Board has at least two scheduled meetings each month at the Police Department. The Board's meeting agendas and minutes are available for public viewing each month.

With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Buckmaster's inclusion on the Board simply made sense. He is well-versed in criminal law and served as an Assistant State Attorney before beginning his practice. This experience allows him to understand both sides of the criminal justice system, beneficial to his clients and the community.

Mr. Buckmaster is currently a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Ormond Beach Rotary Club. His involvement on the Citizens' Law Enforcement Advisory Board is an excellent way to showcase his talent as a criminal defense attorney.
